Fire Scene Processing

Processing of the fire scene falls within the third step of the scientific method, otherwise known as the collection of data. This is arguably the most critical point in the application of the scientific method because physical evidence that is lost, overlooked or destroyed often times results in questions that cannot be answered through evaluation of the physical evidence alone. Obviously, the more relevant the evidence is that is recovered, the higher the probability that one can accurately determine the origin and cause of the fire.
